Who We Are

Finding Hope - Finding Home

Cadyville Church as a family could be summed up by those two statements:

Our mission is to lead people into a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus!

Our vision is to be a church that demonstrates the love of God and transforms our community through the hope of Jesus.

At Cadyville Church, our goal is to be a church that you love to attend, whether you come from a background where you attend church or have never stepped foot into a church before. We aim to be authentic and real, warm and inviting, passionate and excited about all that God is doing around us. If you've never been to church, why don't you try connecting with us! You could preview what Pastor Jordon's messages are like by checking out our Audio Messages section. You could also send any questions you have to him at jleblanc@cadyville.church.

What We Believe

What We Believe

About God
We believe that there is one God, who exists in three persons- the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe they are eternal- having no beginning or end (Matthew 3:16-171 Timothy 1:171 John 5:20).

We believe that Jesus Christ is God. We believe that he lived a life free from sin and that, through his death, he took the penalty for our sins and paid the debt that we could not pay (John 1:1-31 Corinthians 15:3-8).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is our comforter, healer, and guide. He conveys the grace of God to us, while also revealing the sin in our lives. He empowers us to live the lives that God has called us to live.

About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and God moved in the heart of people to write it. Because of this, we believe the Bible is without error as originally written (2 Timothy 3:16).

About Humanity
We believe that all people were created in the image of God. We were created to have full and complete relationship with Him, but because of our sinful disobedience, we have become alienated from him. As a result, we are not capable of restoring that relationship on our own (Romans 3:23).

About Salvation
We believe that because of His sacrifice, through His death on the cross, that all people are offered the free gift of forgiveness of their sins (Romans 6:23) - not through any efforts of our own. This gift means that we will have a life that never ends through Jesus.

About the Christian Life
We believe that through a relationship with Jesus Christ, we are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Because of this, followers of Jesus are empowered to live for Him and not for themselves. By living in obedience to God's Word and yielding each day to His Spirit, every believer should mature and become more like Christ every day.

What to Expect

What to Expect

Parking
We have a good amount of parking space and we will work to make sure you have a place to park so you can be a part of our services!

Coming Inside
When you come through the doors, you’ll be greeted by one or more of our welcome staff and you’ll receive a copy of the day’s bulletin (program). The bulletin contains the order of service and important announcements about upcoming events and other things.

Seating
You can sit anywhere you like. Our people are not worried about where they sit on a given Sunday. You won’t be in “somebody’s seat.”

Atmosphere
You’ll notice the atmosphere is very pleasant. Lots of kids are usually running around and people are talking to one another. This is not a quiet church. We think it’s important to enjoy yourself when you come to Church.

The Offering
During the service, we take up an offering. This offering goes to fund our ministries, provide income for our pastors, and bless our community through various outreach ministries. Guests are not expected to give anything in the offering. Please don’t feel the need to bring money. We’re not after your money.

The Music
We have a talented worship team, featuring different musicians and singers. Our music is a blend of old and new songs. Some people will raise their hands as they worship and many will not. We are open to various expressions of worship. Please feel free to worship in a way that is meaningful to you.

Prayer
We are a Church that believes in the power of prayer. In every service, we invite those with prayer concerns to come to the altar. We do this so we as a Church can pray for you and offer encouragement.

The Sermon
Our pastor’s sermons are interesting and engaging. He addresses relevant issues in our lives, while looking to the Bible for guidance and truth. He will definitely keep you interested!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
There is nothing in Scripture that demands we dress in nice clothes for Church. Jesus was homeless, and didn’t have nice clothes. When you come to church, please dress in a way that you are comfortable, as long as your clothing is modest. At our church, you will see some men wearing suits and ties, but others wearing jeans or khakis and a button-down or t-shirt. Some women will wear dresses / skirts but many do not. What you wear is not important- what is important is that you come as you are.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
We offer nursery care during the service (newborn-age 5). We also have “Children's Church” (grades K-5) which takes place just during the sermon time of the main services. The children participate in worship, and then are dismissed to Junior Church before the Pastor preaches. Children are not required to go to Junior Church; they may stay with you during the service if you would prefer.

DO YOU HAVE SUNDAY SCHOOL?
We have a Sunday School program for all ages. Sunday School Begins at 9:00AM. Check out our SUNDAY SCHOOL page for more information!

Our Leadership

Our Leadership

Pastor Jordon comes to us from sunny Canada, where it's summer all the time! Jordon graduated from Kingswood University (Bethany Bible College) in April 2007. After graduating, he did what any college grad would want to do: get married. He married Jennifer Addison from Syracuse, New York.

Jordon and Jennifer moved to Cadyville in June 2016 after serving in the Southern Tier for five years as youth and discipleship pastor.

Jordon is a self-proclaimed (among others...) nerd, enjoying computers, web-design, Star Wars and other nerd-like things. He also enjoys music (playing and listening to), movies, and going for long walks on the beach.

He also has a passion for God and for people. His hope that Cadyville Wesleyan will be a church that reaches all kinds of people and brings them the awesome, life-changing news that God loves them! He also has a passion for worship and hopes to see people grow in their relationship with God through worship, both on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.

Favorite Bible Verse: "My grace is enough to cover and sustain you. My power is made perfect in weakness." - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Favorite Quote: "The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable” - Brennan Manning

Favorite Book: Hard to say. Crazy Love by Francis Chan, Not a Fan and gods At War by Kyle Idleman, The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, Repenting of Religion by Gregory Boyd, and several others have made lasting impacts on me.

Favorite Movie: Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back... or Newsies

Favorite Snack: (Canadian snack) No-Name Ketchup Chips. (American snack): Pretty much anything salty.

Favorite Food: Hard to say, but I make a mean hickory-smoked brisket (beef, for those of you not in the know).

Favorite Drink: Cold Drink: I try to avoid it, but real sugar Pepsi. Hot Drink: Any good, freshly-roasted coffee.

Favorite Restaurant: there is this little hole-in-the-wall pub where I used to live (Hornell NY) called Paddy's Pub and Grill. Has some of the best burgers I have ever had! I miss it!

What you wish people knew about you: I love to laugh. Best way to get to know me is to do something that we can laugh together through.

What you wish people knew about God: God's hope for you isn't about trying harder and doing better. He's offered us freedom that can change us. It's not about trying, but about embracing the gift that he is giving us because of Jesus!
